The restrooms can be scary at some camp grounds

When you need to use the restrooms at some campgrounds you might be shocked at how basic they are so you need to be ready. I have stayed at some real nice private campgrounds with clean modern facilities like the ones pictured here and I have also stayed at some state campgrounds that had bathhouses bad enough to make you set speed records.
There are several real important situations you need to be aware of - You may want water shoes (the floors can be unclean)
- Do not expect great water pressure
- You want a shower bag with a hook to hang from the door
- Using the restrooms in shifts helps the clean up time
- They may have coin operated shower(s)
- Most restrooms are closed for cleaning at least once a day.
Be prepared and be happy
When my family goes camping we pack one shower bag that has a hook built into the lining this comes in real handy when the floor is wet or muddy from other people. You will want to make sure you only pack the essential items since you will have to walk with the bag in most cases.
I would suggest using quality zip lock bags for all your toiletries, tooth brushes, soap and Q tips, travel size items work well when you camp since they take up less room and cost less to replace then regular size tooth paste, shampoo or soap.
Some helpful ideas
My family has learned a thing or two about camping over the last decade one of the most most powerful lessons has been a little planning goes a long way, when you need to get your family cleaned up for the day send everyone in shifts to help speed things up. The whole point of going on vacation is to relax and by spacing activates out you can enjoy yourself.
When your thinking about what to bring for the
restrooms make your self a checklist
this way you do not forget a important item. The most common problem people tend to have with bathrooms is forgetting their shampoo, soap or clothes behind so make sure you do a mental check that you have everything before you head back to your camp site. One very strong recommendation I can make from personal experience is always have a back up roll of toilet paper, its really not a good situation to find your self in need of this item.
