Moms camping resources that make the difference

In most Families mom usually takes care of all the details of a family vacation , helping with the camping trip detail(s)right from the word go. You need an edge and we can help you.

Our Moms camping resources will speed up the the whole process , so here's your secret weapon to make planning simple so you can enjoy some time for yourself.

The first thing I recommend you do create your own Moms zone and get yourself Organized, this is real simple get a notebook ,pad of paper, binder ect. all the details for your trip will be kept here.

The most important thing to remember is to be persitant, letting the details go can really come back to haunt in in the end

Planning a camping trip does not to be absolute or perfect by any means however certain details need to be set in stone, this is where writing everthing down can come in real handy when people argue latter on about agreeing to do something

Some important things you will want to lock done right away are:

  • When?..............................................be specfic
  • Where?............................................exact town or campground
  • Whats the budget?...........................allow for more
  • How are you getting there?..............driving or renting a Rv
  • What side trips will you take?...........plan a little R&R for the troops

No matter the age of your children every age group brings its own difficulty to any camping trip, knowing how to deal with these situations is the key to having a great time.

Allow me to pass along some real useful advice about parenting,

The challenges do not get any easier just different

You will find that when you actually are on vacation with the campsite all set up and everythings in place most kids will really take to the idea of sleeping in a tent, However I have always been a fan of the the idea of trying a test run in the back yard to makle sure the younger kids will sleep in a tent(being on vacation is a bad time to realize one of your kids won;t sleep in a tent!).

Your the BOSS!

kids backing while camping

Hows no schedule sound? Wow A day of just sitting around the campfire is an activity! doesn't that sound so nice, makes me want to leave right now. We all run hetic lives and never seem to be able to slow down, so why not stop and admire the sceanary for once!

I am sure when your family declares they want to vist...... your the one who has to gather all the details and plan everthing, don't sweat the small stuff we have you covered.I recommend that you keep things simple and you will find htere is less room for problems.

caravan loaded for camping

Every detail from loading the van, bringing a first aid kit and even stashing a couple of extra Fifty's in your wallet for the unexpected needs to be planned ahead of time before you leave.

You will find when you camp there are Prepared people that make it look easy and every detail goes smoothly and then there's the just wing it people with their tent falling over, food all over the place and general disarray in their campsite.(please don't be That Family)

Start your jouney below

I recommend that you pay a visit to a few of the areas below to help plan your trip, if you are a newbie I would not skip any steps this can lead to problems later on.

The most logical place to start is finding a place to stay , there are many differnet research tools on the net. My wife and I use Reserve America to plan alot of our camping trips.

Depending on where you are planning to stay there may be a state specific website to ultilize, when we visit our favorite state (New Hampshire) we use ther website www.ucampnh.com

Some details to check

  • How many people are included in their rate?
  • Are pets allowed?
  • How many cars can you park at the site?
  • What Rv services do they offer?

You have a place to stay, now lets talk GEAR

I ccould create a whole site just about this subject and that is why we will focus on the most important details. There are Several non-negotiable pieces of gear you will need:
  • A tent
  • Sleeping bags or MAts
  • Cooler(s)
  • Cook stove or grill )
  • Safety gear flasgh lights, whistles and a first aid kit

The next logical step

We recommend that you continue on to :
  • moms camping resources,kids zone
  • Now that you have a basic idea of what to buy why don't you vist our camping equipment page to learn a little more about each item.

    Traveling tips and advice

You may think that throwing everythiog in the car and leaving will work out great, well for those of you planning on doing this I simply warn you that this leads to being that disorganized family I mentioned above.Honestly its quicker to carefully pack your car and stack it neatly than just throw it all in and hope for the best.

If you have to make room for your kids in the car then you have packed the car wrong or you need to lose some extras
