Kids Zone

Welcome to the kids zone . we thought giving a separate area for the kids to learn and have fun would be a great idea.

The kids often can Feel left out of the planning and decision making, so we thought we could offer some cool advice for both parents and kids alike.

Kids this is your page so lets get to the fun, since summer is almost here it's time to thimk about what to do with summer vacation!

Believe it or not you can have fun without video games, cell phones and the constant interuption from the tv, I know you think I am crazy but its true.

We highly recommend having mom and dad help on all projects/crafts remember safety first.

The older kids can even help younger kids with projects and get a chance to "be in charge" for a little while (you know you want to be the boss).

When your being crafty remember to try and keep it to one area, a picnic table makes a great creation station for any project you are working on.

Lets get crafty

We know most kids like to buld and create things so I thought we could give you some ideas for crafts

You will find some of the most interesting projects are the simple ones, almost any object can be used to create a one of a kind piece of art work Mom and Dad will love.

Cool ideas to create with

• Paper plates
• paper/plastic cups
• plastic silverware
• drinking straws
• milk carton/jug
• sticks
• rocks

You may have noticed that most of these items will be be handy on most camping trips.

There are many project you can create from simple items like, people from papaer palate or spoon people for instamce.

Some outdoor fun can be found taking nature hikes, scavanger hunting or even riding your bike around.

Cooking up some real tasty fun

Dad and I had a lot of fun cooking hot dogs over our fire last camping trip.

Ask your parents what you can help cook its Fun!. I would go for the smore's but that's just me.

Cooking is just one of many activites that kids can have tons of fun helping with, ask if you can help set up/break down the gear for instance

Do you want ot try something real cool? great ask your parents to ket you start he fire or cook smores

get the most from camping

A positive attitude will help anyone overcome rain,cold or boredom.

Keeping an open mind also helps, before you decide to just say "no" to new foods or activties give then a try you may be surprised what you end up liking.

We recommend that you take lots of pictures, its real fun to look back over years of camping and see how much every one has changed.
