Frugal camping offers something for everyone

Frugal camping makes a lot of sense considering the price of everything is going up. Every one is looking for fun affordable family vacations at this point,it does not matter if you have the money to spend saving money is the name of the game.

Camping is general is a very cheap way to vacation, once you get the major equipment purchased all you really need to buy is food and small essential items like paper products and so on.

I have found buying the right gear the first time pays off in the long run, I have had stuff last one camping trip and thrown it out. The lesson here is not every thing is worth saving money on .

Lets look at the value frugal camping offers:

  • Campsites are cheap
  • State park are usually in easy driving range
  • you can save a lot of money by keeping it simple
  • you do not need a travel agent
  • traveling light saves fuel (wouldn't that be nice!)
  • kids love to be in nature and hiking is free!
  • you can buy volume at BJ's,Costco,Sams Club and save money with bulk

The items I mentioned above are just the tip of the iceberg since you are in complete control of the details, One of our favorites things to do while camping is to take walks and bike rides again free!, I hope you are starting to see how you can save money by frugally camping it this summer.

The whole point is simple really you can keep your vacation cheap and still have a great time doing it,I suggest you start by taking a look at how cheap campsites can be Researve America is a great tool to begin your research with. Once you have the the where taken care of your going to want to make sure your shopping list for gear is complete, since your trying to save money try using the EBAY to buy any new gear you may want.

Personally I have used Ebay to save a lot of money as long as your careful about what you buy its a great way to save some green. A real simple and effective way to save cash is to go camping with another family and split the cost of food, paper products and simple items, in some cases you can even share a campsite making it even cheaper!

You can many free activities to entertain your family with if do a little research into the area you are staying in, Board games are an frugal way to keep your kids happy.
