Sleeping Pop up style

RV Camping is a more refined spin on camping, how many trips have you taken and spent nights with the rain bearing down on your tent?

   When most people think of camping they think of staying in a tent on the ground,I mentioned On our Home Page Camping only has to be as rustic as you want it to be.

   Nature can be enjoyed on many different levels of comfort, even a smaller unit Like travel trailer can make a world of change for some families.

Sleeping Pop up style

   Wouldn't it be nice not to have to pitch a tent the next time you  went camping well many people don't and you could join them RV Camping is a widely accepted vacation idea as well as a full time life style for some people there are countless people "full timing" it on the open road every day.

   The initial investment may seem a little high how ever if you take care of a motorhome it will last quite a while.

Size does matter

The first question is how big do you buy and will you need a stronger truck to tow it with? this is a question for.

Pop ups,Travel Trailers and Fifth Wheels

    These  Rv's need to be towed, unlike the  Class A and C Motor homes who actually  Provide their own power. A word of caution with the Self powered units, once you set up your stranded unless you bring a second vehicle or a bike.

Time to move up from tent camping?

   Depending on your budget and lifestyle you have a wide range of options here from the pop up to the full size class "A" and several choices in between. I have been both Tenting and RV camping and each has its own charm and attractions.

Lets look at some options

You will of course want to do a tune up, oil change and safety inspection on your tow vehicle before leaving for vacation.

The all time favorite is?

   When you ask people what their first RV was chances are they will answer a "pop up" there is a lot to be said about this style of RV.

Pop up trailers are the lightest to tow, fold down for storage ,provide a easier towing profile and are offered in several different layouts to suite most peoples taste.

This type of RV has canvas sides with screening for the window openings and some even have basic showers and Air Conditioning units.h2b>Are we there yet?

When you tent camp I have to say setting up your camp site will take at least two hours depending on how much Camping Equipment you bring with you this usually is not the case with the pop ups your set up is parking, leveling and opening the unit as well as setting up your .

The Fifth wheel shown here allows for home like comfort with the freedom to drive anywhere you want.

Regardless of what type of RV you choose learning more about your country can help a-lot, suppose you live in Australia and want to Go Rv camping knowing more about the climate and specific conditions to expect would help a great deal.

Is too much enough?

The pop up makes a great entry or occasional RV Camping choice however if you desire more room or less nature go with a

Fifth Wheel, Class C or Class A Motor Home.

Imagine its a blistering ninety degrees in the shade in your camp site and all you have to do to cool down is open the door to your ice cold Fifth Wheel this a reality for many camper and depending on your needs this could serve your needs well.

The one item you may not have thought of yet is will your favorite campground have a site that suites your RV's needs? Lets face it You are now going to want electric and sewer and a site large enough for all you gear.

I recommend that you consider a service like AAA,Good Sam's club ect to cover your Rv while traveling.

 

When you first go RV Camping don't forget it is like Family Camping you will still have to keep the kids busy and cook just like always, however you will find you now have a little more in the comfort department than you did as a tent camper.
