Massachusetts camping offers historical twist

Massachusetts camping offers some real unique places for you to visit from a historical and geological point of view, I have lived here all my life so let me be your show you around. I would like to point out that this state has its own culture, traditions and pace new comers and visitors may find different at first.
When you visit the state there are six regions available to you from the west border of New York they are Berkshire, Pioneer valley, Sturbridge, Minuteman, Pilgrim and Cape Cod & the Islands.
The opportunity for day trips are quite vast and varies from historical points of interest such as the
town of Plymouth
to modern theme parks like
SIx Flaggs New England in the western area
of the state.Imagine spending a exciting day walking the city of Boston seeing Beacon hill, the Freedom Trail and visiting the children's museum in just one day! This is a eye opening day trip most kids won't forget for quite some time.

Perhaps you would like to spend a day on a cool beach on The Cape and Islands, The nature and bike trails Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket offer are breath taking and real relaxing.
The only way to travel to Martha's Vineyard is by ferry, this means a trip to Woods hole and a forty five minute boat ride to the Island provided by the Steamship Authority. Once you arrive you can visit several small towns like Vineyard Haven, Edgartown and Aquinnahn. Transport to these charming towns can take several forms depending on your preferences, bike rentals and guided tours are the most popular options for most visitors.
The islands may not be what your looking and in that case the Cape offers much more like the charm of Province town on the very end of Cape Cod , Striper fishing along the Cape Cod canal or just exploring the small town charm of Wareham .
The most renown area of Massachusetts to visit is Marths vineyard and you will want vacation tips to fully enjoy yourself.
When you travel westward you will find the South eastern area with Providence, Rhode Island Just a thirty minute trip away and access to Boston, Historical Fall River and excellent Outlet shopping.
The real value for campers in Massachusetts are the state campgrounds, my family has enjoyed many trips to
Wompatuck State Park in Hingham
you can reach anywhere in the Boston area quickly with this as your base camp. When I camped with the Boy Scouts we went to
Myles Standish State Park
in both the summer and the fall, I had a blast exploring the woods and walking around the large pond. I suggest giving family camping a try you can save enough money to see a lot of what Massachusetts has to offer.
The price of camp sites is about average or slightly higher than the rest of New England, you can expect to pay from twenty two to over fifty dollars a night depending on if your tent camping or you have a RV.
I have visited a real nice resort called
Normandy Farms in Foxboro,
you can expect to pay top dollar for sites here how ever they provide all the amenities indoor pool, games , activities and some real modern security.
