Family Camping

In today's fast paced world family camping is a welcome change of pace to enjoy some well deserved family time.

No matter the age of your kids camping is a great way to encourage kids to enjoy being outside and to be accountable for themselves to some extent(the age of child will affect this)

I would suggest that you limit the amount of toys and games taken on vacation, Toys have a way of getting lost when your in the woods.

Smaller trips help introduce camping

My children love camping and most will so I would suggest start by going out for a weekend, this will reduce the amount of gear, food ect. you need to bring and if you decide to go home its easy enough.

Let the games begin

When we go camping my family spends hours playing games like Uno,skip bo,old maid ect., some other game ideas could include tag, water balloon fights, football and pretty much anything you have room for.

Let explore Camping with kids

Everyone having fun is the ultimate goal here so just relax and have fun yourself remember the reason your camping is to relax.

Family camping activities are always welcome even at night you can have the children make up their own bedtime stories or perhaps even letting everyone wind down at the campfire would keep the whole family happy.

The biggest part of successful family camping is having a positive attitude your children will pick up on this and everyone will have a better time. When you plan a vacation of any sort having some insight goes along way, a valuable resource I have found is kid friendly vacations.com they offer some great ideas.

I suggest planning ahead and not rushing the details the more involved you are the smoother the trip should go.
