Disney theme parks

The Disney theme parks are a great place to unwind and enjoy some vacation time, Finding your way around though is not as simple as following a map.

I have been to the parks many times and I would like to share some insider advice with you about how to get the most out of your time and money.

Timing is everything!

You will find that most people will work the Disney theme parks from the front to the back, this makes the crowds very much like a herd of cattle grazing from one attraction to the next.

This can be a major advantage if you use it properly, Lets take a look at some proven ways to wait in less lines and see more of the parks.

  • Work back to front

    • Avoid the front until the evening
    • Try to get to 1 major attraction early
    • Study the map and avoid the main walk ways during peak times of the day

  • Use Shows and Parades

    • Watch the parades/ shows once
    • the lines lessen during these times get riding!
    • This a great time to eat with less waiting

  • Leave the parks from 2 Pm until around 5pm

    • I recommend staying out the sun at these time
    • Kids will be happier not enduring the sun during these time
    • If you want to stay find some indoor Attractions like the Hall of Presidents to cool off for a while

Getting there from here

Depending on if your staying at a Disney Fort Wilderness or a local campground there are many options for getting around. Those staying on site can use the bus(s), monorail(s) and boat(s) available to get you around.

Not staying on site? no problem the buses and monorails can still be used between the parks and shopping village.

A few simple facts about transportation:

Note

All roads at Disney World lead to the Transportation and ticket Center or (TTC)
  • Bus Services

    • Run from park opening till 2 Am
    • Can be standing room only
    • Are air conditioned

  • Mono rail Service

    • There are two Mono rails in service
    • The Animal Kingdom and Mgm Studios do not have service
    • Only one runs to the parks, the other rides the Hotel track

  • Boat Service

    • Fort Wilderness Uses a boat to get to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC)
    • This is the slowest/ most relaxing form of travel

You now know how to save time and even get around the entire Magic Kingdom, I have tried various ways to save time and the easiest way is to relax getting stressed out about having to wait in line every where or the price of food is not worth your while.

This is your family's vacation, leave the stress at home and enjoy your self.
