Fun Activities to keep the Kids Busy

When considering activities for the kids I recommend leaving your day planner behind and just having some spur of the moment fun, hanging out and doing what ever can be a fun time for every one.

When we camp my family has a proven way to plan our week, we wake and just follow the day where ever it goes. Sometimes this means reading, bike riding or even a trip to a local beach. The point is we do not follow a schedule when we vacation, lets face it you follow the boss's hours all year so take a break and relax.

Time to pack the car

Sometimes when your packing up for your vacation you don’t know what to pack to keep the little ones entertained. There are some important things to remember to pack and some optional items you should consider carefully.

No matter the age of your kids having one or two good card games handy is always a excellent idea remember they are looking to you to bring everything they need no matter how old they are!

Fun is your goal so make sure whatever it is you bring you know for certain they will enjoy doing it now thats not to say you can't spring a few surprises on them like a game they have never played or a new way to play a old favorite.

Depending on the age of your child you should let them pick a small bag of some of there favorite toys to pack. Keep in mind that you will have limited space so pack your items accordingly.

Helping out is a great activity

Another good way to help keep the children entertained and to also make them feel helpful is to let them help you set up the campsite.

A great Activity for the younger kids is to have them go gather branches and sticks for firewood as long as you always keep and eye on them. Taking long walks is another good way to go looking for branches and sticks for your fire, not to mention roasting some Marshmallows after dinner!

Reality check

Remember I you will find I say this often “the whole point of a vacation is to have fun” relax and enjoy some time off work and your families company. Engaging activities are always fun just keep safety in mind or you will need to use the First Aid kit you have.
