Plan a fun Family Camping trip and opens up a whole new opportunity for you as a parent to enjoy some real quality time with your kids, there are so many fun activities that you can participate in or just hang out and relax.
Life throws lots of distraction(s) at us every day, so you need to find the time to make lasting Family memories . I myself work over sixty hours a week in retail and have some days I do not even see my kids.
Tubing,Crawford Notch campground.
Our family vacation is my time to catch up. This is why I love camping so much it allows us to spend time as a family away from our hectic day to day routine
This is your call to action,
Think about it,when was the last time your whole family sat down and ate a relaxing dinner together? I am sure you had to think a bit about that question. When you start thinking about the scedule you keep you will quickly realize how caught up in day to day activites you are, when we were growing up there was no "play dates" or scheduling time to hang out.
Life has gotten pretty complex so I recommend you unplug and see your old friend Mother nature. Trust me a road trip can be just the thing to get rid of stress.
Kids love to explore and what better place than at a campground, letting your kids loose (with some supervision) is a great way to help them build confidence.
You may even find they actually do not say the words parents dread hearing the most "theres nothing to do !" Don't you just love hearing that.
One of the coolest things we do when camping is just sitting around the campfire, it that quite (really!)
Kids need a chance to break away from the normal pace they keep, lets face we just went out and played with our friends we didn't plan "play dates" and we were happy.
A day of just sitting around the campfire is an activity! You are free to do what ever you want theres no phone, sports or errands to run.
You will find the camping community is very freindly and family minded, people will actually stop and talk to you.
We have met some really nice and interesting peeple over our many camping trips
When we camp there is always a nice relaxed pace and our kids actually will help out with keeping the campsite clean ( wow,I wish they would do that at home).
The economy sure doesn't seem to be getting better, so save some green and escape to a local campground with your familty this summer. State campgrounds make a great base camp for day trips and you will find that a whole week is around a hundred dollar's (non Electric), talk about saving money you can hardley get two nights in a hotel for that kind of money.
I am sure when you budget this years vacation you will find this is the tightest budget you have ever faced, we can show you some ways to cut your cost(s).By the middle of the summer we could see over $5.00 a gallon for gas! so every penny counts thats's for sure.
Family cabin tent.
You control how close to nature you are
The cool part is you control all the details so if tent camping is not for you, No problem! You can rent a cabin or stay in an RV and still enjoy nature.
The comfort and safety of your family is in your complete control, if you feel safer staying in an Rv great or does staying in a tent sound exciting and adventurous ? No problem what ever makes your family happy is what matters the most.
It's a fact no two people camp the same way, so don't be afraid to develop your own style.I have had many converations with seasoned campers and it seems every one has their own take on how to do almost evertyhing.
The choice is entirley yours, if you want to try camping or just spend a ton of money on a hotel room you only sleep in.I know I am a little biased towards camping how ever when you think about it an average campsite run $20-$40 a night verus $50-??? for a hotel room depending on where you plan on staying.
I have added this section to announce new pages and updates to the website.
Cooking on a campfire is always fun, make sure you keep safety in mind
Your kids will keep going regardless, keep an eye on them so they don't get sun stroke or dehydrate
When you pack the car make sure you load it with the items you need last first, this way when you unpack the items you need first will be on top.
There are more than 12,000 known campgrounds in the U.S.
You may find yourself taking extreme measures to stay dry, we had to use plastic drop clothes to ride out 4 days of rain in New Hampshire.
You can test drive camping by camping for just a weekend in local state park.
