Personally I love the change of pace from the hectic day to day life I usually lead, you may even notice its so relaxing going back to work may be reallly difficult! You may discover while camping:
Life throws lots of distraction(s) at us every day, so you need to find the time to make lasting Family memories . I myself work over fifty hours a week in retail and have some days I do not even see my kids. 
Our family vacation is my time to catch up. This is why I love camping so much it allows us to spend time as a family away from our hectic day to day activities This is your call to action, When was the last time your whole family sat down and ate a relxed dinner together? I am sure you had to think a bit about that question. When you start thinking about the scedule you keep you will quickly realize how caught up in day to day activites you are, when we were growing up there was no "play dates" or scheduling time to hang out. LIfe has gotten pretty complex so I recommend you unplug and see your old friend Mother nature. Trust me a road trip can be just the thing to get rid of stress, Theres something for everyoneKids love to explore and what better place than at a campground, letting your kids loose (with some supervision) is a great way to help them build confidence.You may even find they actually do not say the words parents dread hearing the most "theres nothing to do !" Don't you just love hearing that. One of the coolest things we do when camping is just sitting around the campfire and read,play games or just plain do nothing.
When we camp there is always a nice relaxed pace and our kids actually will help out with keeping the campsite clean ( wow,I wish they would do that at home). The economy sure doesn't seem to be getting better, so save some green and escape to a local campground with your familty this summer. State campgrounds make a great base camp for day trips and you will find that a whole week is around a hundred dollor (non Electric), talk about saving money you can hardley get two nights in aa hotel for that kind of money. I am sure when you budget this years vacation you will find this is on of the tightest budgets you have ever faced, we can show you some ways to cut your cost(s). You control how close to nature you areThe cool part is you control all the details so if tent camping is not for you, No problem! You can rent a cabin or stay in an RV and still enjoy nature. Please do not worry about what other people will think, remember its Your vacation so enjoy it.Your the boss

It's a fact no two people camp the same way, so don't be afraid to develop your own style.I have had many converations with seasoned campers and it seems every one has their own take on how to do almost evertyhing. The choice is entirley yours if you want to try camping or just spend a ton of money on a hotle room you only sleep in.I know I am a little biased towards camping how ever when you think about it an average campsite run $20-$40 a night verus $50-??? depending on where you plan on staying.

This is why I recommend giving camping a try , now more than ever Family camping is the best value for your families vacation dollar. Do you want to save money?Your answer should be YES so I recommend giving a local state park a try. You will find that most state parks are a bargain, be prepared to trade off some amenities for the savings though. |
